Melbourne based singer / songwriter, academic and author Dayle Allison Walker will be performing at Albert Park Yacht Club this Friday evening the 5th December 2014 along with her band FolkUs to celebrate Xmas with the launch of her latest album titled ‘Sanctuary’.
Throughout her early years as a singer, Dayle released an album with Mushroom Records, and toured with artists such as Marcia Hines, Steve Groves (Tintin) and Johnny Chester. As a studio session singer she worked with well-known artists, such as Tommy Emmanuel, Paul Rabowski and Mike Brady. Dayle has performed in a wide variety of genres and settings, in country music and acoustic folk, with touring bands, in cabaret and theatre, television variety shows, and for many years sang with Steve Ball (Kush) on piano at jazz piano bars in Sydney. Drawing on all of these influences, Dayle’s mellow voice brings a touching resonance to songs of depth, humour and warmth.
